Rapsodo MLM2PRO pros

  • Rapsodo lists 8 measured data points, including spin rate, spin axis, club path and angle of attack
  • $549.99 at Rapsodo and Shop Indoor Golf, $150 under its $699.99 regular price
  • One-time $599.99 lifetime membership option, which few rivals offer
  • Works with GSPro, E6 Connect, E6 Apex and Awesome Golf
  • Impact Vision camera films impact at 240 frames per second

Rapsodo MLM2PRO cons

  • Spin numbers only show with RPT-marked balls (a dozen costs $69.99 from Rapsodo)
  • Spin, club data, courses and third-party software all sit behind the Premium membership
  • Sits 6.5 to 8.5 feet behind the ball, so indoors it needs a little more than 14 feet
  • Rapsodo's pages disagree on the free trial (21 days in one place, 45 days in others)
  • Battery life, weight and warranty length are not stated on Rapsodo's product page

The Rapsodo MLM2PRO is the cheapest launch monitor we found that lists measured spin and club path, which is why it shows up on almost every budget golf simulator shortlist. This Rapsodo MLM2PRO review covers today’s price, what the Premium membership costs and unlocks, the RPT balls you need, the room it takes and its real drawbacks. In short: it is excellent value if you will pay for Premium, and a poor buy if you won’t.

We built this review from Rapsodo’s own MLM2PRO product page and its Premium membership page, both read on 17 October 2026, plus the Shop Indoor Golf price we recorded on 16 October. We have not used an MLM2PRO ourselves, so the page is labeled as researched. See how we research and rate products.

What the Rapsodo MLM2PRO is and who it’s for

The MLM2PRO is a small launch monitor that sits on a tripod behind the ball and sends shot data and video to the Rapsodo app on an Apple or Android phone or tablet. Rapsodo describes “dual optical camera vision + radar processing” with Doppler radar, and says it works fully indoors and outdoors.

It suits golfers who want real practice numbers (spin, club path, angle of attack) at home and on the range for well under $1,000, and who accept a yearly membership as part of the cost.

Rapsodo MLM2PRO features

Shot data. Rapsodo lists 15 metrics, 8 of them measured: ball speed, launch direction, club speed, launch angle, spin rate, spin axis, club path and angle of attack. The other 7, such as carry, total distance, smash factor and shot apex, are calculated from those.

Spin needs RPT balls. Rapsodo’s page says plainly: “Golf balls with RPT are required to show spin numbers.” Three Titleist 2025 Pro V1 RPT balls come in the box, and right now Rapsodo adds a free 3-ball sleeve (Pro V1 or Callaway 2026 Chrome Tour).

Video. The Impact Vision camera captures impact at 240 frames per second, and Premium adds slow-motion and multi-angle swing replay with shot trace.

Courses and range. Premium includes Rapsodo Courses (more than 30,000 courses) and a virtual target range. Rapsodo’s pages give two different target counts (72 targets and 4 fairway targets in one place, 86 and 8 in another).

Third-party software. Rapsodo lists GSPro (which it calls fully integrated), E6 Connect, E6 Apex and Awesome Golf. Each is sold separately.

Rapsodo MLM2PRO price and Premium membership (2026)

Rapsodo listed the MLM2PRO at $549.99 on 17 October 2026, down from $699.99, with free shipping to the contiguous 48 states and a 30-day money-back guarantee. A dozen RPT balls is $69.99.

Premium is where most of the value sits. Rapsodo’s membership page lists:

Premium plan Price Notes
1 year $199.99 Auto-renews every year
2 years $329.99 Auto-renews every 2 years
Lifetime $599.99 One-time payment

There is no monthly plan. Premium unlocks measured spin rate and spin axis (with RPT balls), club path and angle of attack, 30,000+ courses, the target range, Impact Vision, R-Cloud shot history, R-Speed swing speed training and third-party software.

The free trial. Rapsodo’s membership page and FAQ give 45 days, starting when you activate Premium and enter a card in R-Cloud. The product description also mentions a “21-Day Trial Core Membership.” We use the 45-day figure, which appears more often, but check at checkout. Either way the trial renews for a year automatically unless you cancel.

Cost Amount
MLM2PRO $549.99
First year with yearly Premium $749.98
Three years with yearly Premium $1,149.96
Unit plus lifetime Premium $1,149.98

If you plan to keep it three years or more, the lifetime plan costs about the same as three yearly renewals and then stops.

How much room does the Rapsodo MLM2PRO need?

Indoors, Rapsodo says you need “a little more than 14 total feet”: about 8 feet from the ball to the net, plus 6.5 to 8.5 feet from the unit back to the ball. Outdoors it sits the same 6.5 to 8.5 feet behind the ball, aimed down the target line. Rapsodo adds that taller players may need to move it farther back to capture the full swing on video.

Rapsodo’s product page does not give a ceiling height. Most packages we have read ask for about 9 feet; see our best golf simulator for home list for room sizes by product.

Who should skip the Rapsodo MLM2PRO

Skip it if you never want a membership: without Premium you lose spin, club data, courses and third-party play. Skip it if your room is short, because it sits behind you; the Square Golf Omni sits beside the ball instead (read our Square Golf Omni review). And skip it if buying RPT balls bothers you, since spin only shows with them.

If you mainly want to play virtual golf for fun at the lowest price, the Garmin R10 is $50 cheaper with a cheaper membership. Our Garmin R10 vs Rapsodo MLM2PRO comparison goes through the trade-offs.

Is the Rapsodo MLM2PRO worth it?

Yes, for golfers who want measured spin and club path on a budget and will pay $199.99 a year (or $599.99 once). Few launch monitors near $550 list this much measured data, and the lifetime option caps the long-term cost. It is the wrong pick if you want no ongoing fees or have less than about 15 feet of depth. Rapsodo MLM2PRO: frequently asked questions

Is the Rapsodo MLM2PRO worth it?

Yes, if you want measured spin on a budget and will pay for Premium. At $549.99 plus $199.99 a year, the first year costs $749.98. If you would never pay a membership, it loses most of what makes it special, because spin, club data and course play need Premium.

Does the Rapsodo MLM2PRO require a subscription?

Not for basic use, but Rapsodo’s FAQ says speed training, club data and full course access need Premium. Premium costs $199.99 a year, $329.99 for two years or $599.99 once for lifetime access, after a 45-day free trial that auto-renews unless you cancel.

Do you need special balls for the MLM2PRO?

Only for spin. Rapsodo says golf balls with RPT markings are required to show spin rate and spin axis. Three RPT balls come in the box, and a dozen costs $69.99 on rapsodo.com.

How much space do you need for a Rapsodo MLM2PRO?

Rapsodo says a little more than 14 feet in total indoors: about 8 feet from the ball to the net, plus 6.5 to 8.5 feet from the unit to the ball. Taller players may need to move the unit farther back to capture the full swing on video.

Does the MLM2PRO work with GSPro?

Yes. Rapsodo calls GSPro fully integrated and also lists E6 Connect, E6 Apex and Awesome Golf. Third-party compatibility is listed as a Premium feature, and the GSPro license itself is sold separately.

How much is the Rapsodo MLM2PRO?

Rapsodo listed it at $549.99 on 17 October 2026, down from $699.99, with a free sleeve of 3 RPT balls. Shop Indoor Golf showed the same $549.99 when we checked on 16 October.
